Common questions
What if my photo causes my PR application to be rejected?
If the photo is the cause of rejection, send us proof within 30 days and we'll refund your S$5.90 in full — or redo the photo at no charge. (We can't help with non-photo rejection reasons — those are outside our control.)
How does this differ from a passport photo?
ICA uses one unified photo spec across all documents they issue — passport, identity card, PR, and citizenship. So technically this photo is identical to our Singapore passport photo SKU. We list it separately because PR is a meaningfully different application context with different stakes — and the FAQ + page copy speaks to PR applicants specifically.
What dimensions does the e-PR portal require?
400×514 px JPEG, white background. The ICA e-Service upload widget enforces these dimensions — we deliver a file that's a perfect match.
How recent does my photo need to be?
Within the last 3 months. ICA explicitly checks recency for PR applications.
Can I wear religious headwear?
Yes. Hijab, turban, kippah, and other religious head coverings are accepted. Face must remain fully visible from forehead to chin.
I wear glasses — will that be a problem?
Clear-lens glasses are permitted by ICA if both eyes are clearly visible. Tinted lenses, sunglasses, and frames covering the eyes are NOT allowed. Our pre-check flags these for you.
