I wear glasses — will that be a problem?
No — ImmD permits clear-lens glasses if both eyes are clearly visible without glare. Tinted lenses, sunglasses, and frames covering the eyes are NOT allowed. Our pre-check flags these for you.
What dimensions does ImmD require?
40×50 mm print equivalent — distinct from the international 35×45 mm standard. Digital file 480×600 px minimum, JPEG, plain white background. We deliver a file that meets all of these.
Is this for first-time applications or just renewals?
Best for adult passport renewals via the ImmD online portal (iAM Smart / GovHK), and for applications submitted by post or via Chinese embassies overseas. First-time adult applicants and all minors typically need to attend Immigration Tower in person where the photo is taken on-site.
Can I wear religious headwear?
Yes. Hijab, turban, kippah, and other religious head coverings are accepted. Face must remain fully visible from forehead to chin.
